Audiovisibility 2016

21 November - 20 January | Mon-Fri | 10am-4.30pm

Audiovisibility is a ‘visual music’ art form that has been created from the response and interest of a classically trained musician, born with profound hearing loss in both ears. The work captures the visual information and physicality of music played and guides development for the listening senses.

The Exhibition will show developed performances, creative compositions and artistic practice along with the many talents of professional British Deaf artists of different disciplines such as live art, sculptures, Sign Language, print making, actors and photography. It will also present elements of the Deaf culture, how sounds are viewed and the world around the Deaf community.

In turn it creates a thoughtful and deeply integrated arts experience. The results portray music in a visually compelling and humanistic way.
